US re-proposes spirotetramat approvals
The US EPA has re-proposed the registrations of Bayer CropScience’s spirotetramat-based insecticides, Movento and Ultor. The registrations were ruled illegal in December because of EPA failings over notification procedures ( Agrow No 583, p 13). The approvals were due to be annulled on February 16th, but the action has been stayed following an appeal by Bayer. The Second Circuit Court of Appeals is due to consider Bayer’s motion for a stay pending appeal on March 9th.
