Wynca glyphosate project up for national scheme
A research project from Chinese agrochemical company Wynca to apply thermal engineering techniques to the production of the herbicide, glyphosate, has been included in a national pesticide technology scheme. The scheme aims to foster “key technologies for the cleaner production of high-efficacy, low-toxicity, low-residue pesticide varieties and intermediates”. It is part of China’s 12th five-year plan (2011-2015). Since China’s ninth five-year plan (1996-2000), Wynca has completed and applied the results from four such pesticide technology development projects.
