MAI and Isagro deal on kiralaxyl
MAI has gained rights to register, develop and sell seed treatment mixtures and formulations based on Italian agrochemical company Isagro’s systemic fungicide, benalaxyl-M (marketed as kiralaxyl). The two companies have agreed a deal predominantly aimed at North America, allowing the development and authorisation of products “to better address customer needs in seed dressing”. Isagro will continue to manufacture and hold registrations of the active ingredient. It is mostly used as a foliar application on grapevines, potatoes and vegetables. The seed treatment use will focus on field crops.
