Bayer debuts Laudis in Italy
Bayer CropScience has debuted its broad-spectrum post-emergence herbicide, Laudis (tembotrione 44 g/litre+ isoxadifen-ethyl safener 22 g/litre), in Italy. It is an oil-dispersible formulation for the control of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in maize. The authorities granted approval for the herbicide in January. Tembotrione received its first registration in Austria as Laudis in 2007 ( Agrow No 504, p 17). The European Commission has recently permitted EU member states to extend provisional approvals for the active ingredient until May 31st 2014 ( Agrow No 638, p 9).
