Wynca's agchem sales up by a third
Chinese company Zhejiang Wynca Chemical recorded agrochemical sales of Yuan 2,832.1 million ($451.7 million at the current rate) in 2012, an increase of 32.2% on the previous year. Costs for the agrochemical division were up 19.3%, resulting in a 9.5 percentage point increase in gross profit margin for the year. Agrochemicals accounted for 46% of the company’s total sales of Yuan 6,111 million ($974.7 million), which include those of organosilicone products. The company attributes its growing agrochemical sales to the increased market price of its main product, the herbicide, glyphosate, in 2012.
