Crop Chemophobia: Are We Over-Regulating Pesticides? - Jan. 18

The American Enterprise Institute is hosting an event Jan. 18 entitled, "Crop Chemophobia: Are We Over-Regulating Pesticides?" The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Wohlstetter Conference Center, 12th Floor, AEI, 1150 17th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. The event comes in advance of AEI's Feb. 11 publication of Crop Chemophobia: Will Precaution Kill the Green Revolution? which explores questions surrounding the proper balance between crop protection and environmental and public health considerations. The event will feature Richard Keigwin, director of the Pesticide Re-Evaluation Division in EPA's Office of Pesticide Programs; Jay Feldman, director of Beyond Pesticides; Gabriele Ludwig of the California Almond Board and Jon Entine, AEI Scholar and editor of the crop chemophobia book.
