Greek GMO controls adequate

The European Commission's Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) has called on Greece to improve some of its official control systems on food and feed containing genetically modified organisms. The FVO says that Greece has: an adequate but disproportionate level of official control at the point of entry; limited enforcement of traceability and labelling requirements on the domestic market; and a limited scope of analysis in its official laboratory. The Greek authorities provisionally accepted the findings and conclusions, the Office says.
