US approval for BASF seed treatment
BASF has received US approval for the fungicidal seed treatment, Coronet (pyraclostrobin + boscalid), on vegetables and cotton. The active ingredients represent new seed treatment chemistries in these crops, BASF points out. Coronet is also registered for use on soybeans and sunflowers. The seed treatment is effective against seed-borne damping off diseases and soil-borne pathogens such as Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium spp and Penicillium spp, BASF notes. The company plans to introduce a number of seed treatments in the US ( Agrow No 540, p 22).
