BASF launches cereal fungicide mix in US
BASF has launched the fungicide, TwinLine (pyraclostrobin 130 g/litre + Kureha’s metconazole 80 g/litre), for use on wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale in the US. It is recommended for use at 6-11 fl oz/acre (0.5-0.8 litre/ha) for the control of a range of diseases. The company received US approval for the fungicide combination earlier this year ( Agrow No 542, p 23). BASF has exclusive rights to foliar uses of metconazole in North America on small-grain cereals, soybeans, sugar beet and cotton ( Agrow No 511, p 19).
