Australia OKs chlorantraniliprole
The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has recommended the approval of three chlorantraniliprole-based insecticides from DuPont. Altacor is for use on various fruit crops and cotton, Coragen is for vegetables and Acelepryn is for turf. Chlorantraniliprole is undergoing a shared review by several OECD countries, including Australia. The insecticide was approved in the US and Canada last month ( Agrow No 543, p 22). The APVMA decision is subject to a 28-day public comment period from June 3rd.
