Avogadro still ahead of its plan

French contract research company Avogadro (Fontenilles, south-west France) increased its turnover by 50% to Fr 7.5 million ($1.2 million) in 1999. As the veterinary and human use pharmaceutical research company only became operational in May 1998, the increase was proportionally greater than it would have been on a full year's activities. However, it predicts further growth for 2000: "We expect sales of Fr 10 million by the end of this year," managing directors Andre Weil and Jean-Pierre Arnaud told Animal Pharm.
