Kyoritsu launches Vetoryl in Japan

Tokyo-based Kyoritsu Seiyaku is distributing Dechra’s Cushing’s syndrome treatment for dogs, Vetoryl (trilostane), in Japan. It launched the product under the brand name Adrestan last month, having obtained a marketing authorization in November 2010. Kyoritsu says that Cushing’s syndrome, or hyperadrenocorticism, is mostly seen in middle aged or elderly dogs and that at least 15,000 animals are thought to be affected in Japan.
