Lambs from BT vaccinated ewes remain protected after birth, say scientists

Lambs born to ewes that have been vaccinated against bluetongue (BT) in two consecutive years remain protected for at least 14 weeks after birth, the age at which many of them go for slaughter, according to a study by the UK’s Institute for Animal Health (IAH), funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).
