Crohn's link highlights need for Johne's control in cattle

Johne's disease is a chronic problem that reduces the productivity of dairy cows. But with research suggesting a correlation between the causal agent in milk and Crohn's disease in humans, the time may be right to concentrate on better control of the disease, according to Dr Sandra Godden of the College of Veterinary Medicine at The University of Minnesota. Dr Godden was speaking at the annual Large Herd Seminar held in Gloucestershire, UK, organized by the Evidence-Based Veterinary Consultancy and sponsored by Elanco and Zinpro.
