Sheep pox found in Mongolia:
Mongolia is to vaccinate more than 40,000 sheep after more than 30 animals died of sheep pox last week. Around 400 have been affected in the central and eastern parts of the country, reports the general authority for emergency management (GAEM). This is the first outbreak of the disease in the country in more than 30 years, says the GAEM. A martial law has been enforced and the GAEM has begun disinfecting the affected regions. Stock raising is an important part of Mongolia's economy as more than a third of the population work in the sector.
