FMD (Foot and mouth disease) hits Viet Nam:

Foot and mouth disease has been detected in Viet Nam's Phu Yen province, affecting around 200 buffaloes, bulls and pigs, says the country's official news agency, but the Vietnamese agricultural ministry has yet to announce the outbreaks. Local media reports that the disease was identified in the Phu Hoa, Tuy An and Dong Xuan, and Tu Hoa city districts. Local veterinary agencies have disinfected affected farms, banned the transport of cattle in affected areas to other areas, and vaccinated healthy cattle. Local media also reported outbreaks of FMD in the northern Yen Bai province. FMD has also been identified in five other provinces, affecting 551 bulls and buffaloes and 163 pigs.
