Vetmedin approved in US
Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica's Vetmedin, a treatment for congestive heart failure in dogs, has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This is seven years after the drug was officially launched. The FDA said that it had met all of its ADUFA (Animal Drug User Fee Act) guidelines for approving new drugs. Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica declined to comment on the approval.
