Pfizer's antibiotic Draxxin gains new SRD (swine respiratory disease) prevention claim

Pfizer Animal Health has received European approval for the use of its injectable antibiotic Draxxin (tulathromycin) to prevent swine respiratory disease (SRD). The new claim, which is the first of its kind in Europe, means that veterinarians can prevent SRD using a single dose of Draxxin, avoiding many of the problems associated with traditional oral anti-infectives.
