CSF (classical swine fever) reported in Romania:

Romanian authorities have reported an outbreak of classical swine fever (CSF) in Timis county in the west of the country. According to the news agency Mediafax, over 20,000 pigs have died of the disease at a farm belonging to meat processor Smithfield Foods. The company, whose global headquarters are in Smithfield, Virginia, USA, operates 25 pig farms in western Romania. All of the farms have been quarantined and are being inspected for signs of infection.
