Sao Paulo University opens veterinary hospital
The University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, is opening a veterinary hospital at its Sao Jose campus. Joao Paulo Boccia, coordinator of the university's veterinary course, hopes that the hospital will work with the city council to help control the spread of zoonotic diseases. It will be equipped with clinical equipment and be able to carry out surgery on small animals, as well as having a diagnostics center. There will be a discounted fee for members of the public.
