Clarification: Ohio State University FIV study
Animal Pharm would like to clarify that the Ohio State University study into drug resistance mechanisms (Animal Pharm online October 24th) is using cats infected with the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) as part of its research. It is hoped that this work will lead to a better understanding of drug resistance in general, including that in antimicrobial products. It is not specifically investigating antimicrobial resistance in FIV-positive cats as suggested in the article. We apologise for any confusion caused.
