Morris research funding to top $2 million
Funding of research into companion animal and wildlife health by the Morris Animal Foundation (Colorado, US) is expected to exceed $2 million this year. The not-for-profit foundation has approved grants for more than 150 projects at veterinary research institutions world-wide. More than half of all sponsored projects address health problems in dogs or cats. Work on feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and canine cancer is highlighted by the organisation in its review of current targets for grant aid.
