Does the rise of generics mean animal health innovation is on the slide?
In 2004, new legislation governing veterinary medicinal products came into force, including new rules on the protection of the technical documentation submitted with new product marketing authorizations. Ever since, the number of veterinary generics on the market has grown dramatically. But did the new rules impact innovation?
