PEOPLE - ImmuCell board makes new appointments:
ImmuCell has appointed Robert Bruce and Dr David Tomsche to serve on its board of directors. ImmuCell, based in Portland, Maine, manufacturers First Defense, which helps prevent scours in calves, and Mast Out, a mastitis treatment for dairy cows to which Pfizer Animal Health purchased the licensing rights earlier this year (Animal Pharm No 600, p 5). Mr Bruce was formerly the chief operating officer and vice-president of Enterix, a company that developed a colorectal cancer-screening device and was later acquired by Quest Diagnostics. He is also the founder, owner, and president of Oakmont Advisory Group, a financial consulting company in Portland. Dr Tomsche co-owns a large dairy operation in the state of Minnesota and co-founded Stearns Veterinary Outlet, a construction supply business and animal health marketer for the dairy industry. He is also a partner and large animal practitioner with Minnesota Veterinary Associates and has experience in the Japanese animal industry.
