PEOPLE - US National Institute for Animal Agriculture elects CEO:
The US National Institute for Animal Agriculture (NIAA) has elected Michele Vise-Brown its new CEO, with immediate effect, replacing Dr Nevil Speer, who had been acting CEO since last June. Ms Vise-brown has worked at the NIAA since 2003 as director of member relations and committee operations. Before joining the NIAA, Ms Vise-Brown worked at PIC USA, which specializes in the pork industry, and at the horticulture department at the University of Kentucky and at its Livestock Disease Diagnostic Center. Scott Stuart, the NIAA board chair, said that the appointment of Ms Vise-Brown assured a "virtually seamless transition and eliminates any need to relocate the office."
