PEOPLE: RCVS elects new junior vice-president:
The UK's Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) has elected Jill Nute its new junior vice-president, and she will take up the position on July 6th. Mrs Nute was elected president of the Society of Practicing Veterinary Surgeons in 1991 and has been an RCVS council member since 1993. She is also chairman of the Practice Standards Group of the RCVS. Mrs Nute has chaired many committees and working parties of the RCVS and has been a member of groups looking at topics such as bovine spongiform encephalopathy controls. She currently sits on the Food Fraud Task Force.
