Conference to focus on aquaculture innovation

Kisaco Research is dedicating the focus of its newest animal health conference to the aquaculture sector.

Following the establishment of animal health investment forums in Europe, Asia and Latin America, the firm's next event is taking a species-specific look at the industry.

As with the format of previous investment forums, 12 emerging companies will be showcasing innovations across digital, feed and health at the inaugural Aquaculture Innovation Forum in London this September. Delegates will feature industry executives, financial investors and leading aquaculture companies.

The keynote speaker will be Avrim Lazar, principle consultant to the Global Salmon Initiative. The schedule also features other speakers from Pharmaq, Zoetis, Elanco and Nutreco.

The topics to be covered at the forum will feature opportunities in fish vaccines, investment strategies and the importance of innovation in aquaculture.

Aquaculture is the world's fastest-growing animal food production sector. However, innovation and investment is needed to maintain and keep pace with this growth.

Recently, Animal Pharm has highlighted the growing investment being used to develop fish feed alternatives and the growing thirst for next-generation technologies for aquaculture.

The Aquaculture Innovation Summit will take place from September 28-29, 2017, at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London, UK. For more information, visit:
