KYODO Milk Industry (KMI) of Japan has launched Choshoku Fruit (‘Breakfast Fruit’), a new chilled fruit juice drink marketed under the Meito brand name. There are four flavours in the range: Orange, Apple, Grapefruit and Budo (Grape), all of which feature 30% fruit juice content, and are said to be fortified with vitamin C. Each 1-litre paperboard carton retails for JPY168.00 (USD2.19) and features a children’s character trademarked by Sapporo, which owns a stake in KMI. New on the market in Poland is Nektar Gruszka i Zlocista Brzoskwinia (Pear and Golden Peach Nectar) under the BoboVita brand name. Manufactured by Nutricia Deva, the product is said to be free from added sugar, preservatives or artificial colours.
