Nestlé battles to tackle Maggi noodles food scare in India
Atmospheric pollution could be a possible cause of lead contamination of food products in India, Nestlé said today as it was battling to retain consumer confidence in its Maggi noodle products. The company is embarking on a massive recall and destruction of Maggi noodles worth £30 million after the Indian food authority claimed they had “unsafe” levels of lead in them.
