Anyone expecting sweeping changes to the European Union’s general food law regulation, introduced in 2002 following the BSE and dioxins crises of the late 1990s, will be disappointed, the European Commission’s Deputy Director General for Food Safety at the Directorate General Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) Ladislav Miko told a high-level debate in Brussels yesterday evening (March 9).
